MYK Laticrete Superset is a high-performance, macromolecule-based polymer liquid additive used to enhance and fortify traditional cement slurry. It is primarily used during floor tile and natural stone installations using the traditional wet-on-wet bed method (where tiles are laid over a freshly placed wet cement mortar bed).
Essentially, it transforms standard, basic cement slurry into a high-strength tile adhesive.
Key Features & Benefits
Double the Bond Strength: It significantly enhances adhesion. Standard cement slurry generally offers a bond strength of 0.25 to 0.50 MPa, whereas adding Superset elevates it to 0.50 to 0.75 MPa.
Self-Curing Properties: One of its biggest advantages is that it eliminates the need for traditional water curing after installation, saving significant time, labor, and water.
Extended Open Time: It increases the adjustability time of the tiles, allowing masons more room to align and level tiles precisely before the slurry sets.
Highly Economical: A small dosage goes a long way, making it a cost-effective alternative to complete adhesive beds while outperforming plain cement slurry.
Versatility: It can be mixed with both Grey Cement and White Cement for interior and exterior floor installations.
Technical Specifications & Mixing Ratio
Appearance: White liquid (aqueous suspension concentrate).
Standard Dosage: 300 ml of Superset per 50 kg bag of Portland cement.
Mixing Process: 1. Dilute 300 ml of Superset into 20 liters of clean water and mix thoroughly.
2. Let the liquid solution rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
3. Mix this solution with a 50 kg bag of cement (manually or with a slow-speed mixer) until it forms a smooth, workable consistency.
